Rural Churches in London

Before the massive urban sprawl of the nineteenth century there were numerous villages and hamlets close to the City, and some of the churches and chapels from these remain today though the country has long disappeared.

The following few still have surroundings that give the illusion that they are far away from the metropolis, even though the reverse is true:
