On the property of Jordan Meeting House is a barn said to have been constructed in 1625–26 with timbers from an old ship. The Mayflower, famous ship of the Pilgrim Fathers’ voyage in 1620, was broken up in 1624, and there is some evidence that its beams might have been the ones used in this barn. Visitors to Jordans are usually invited to visit the barn, which is in full view from the public road.
