Founded by pioneer missionary J. Hudson Taylor in 1865, the C. I. M. (now Overseas Missionary Fellowship) was the leading faith mission in China up to the Communist takeover in the late 1940s. The former mission headquarters at Golders Green has some of the original buildings, including an arch facing the street surmounted with the words, ‘have faith in god’.
